Wow !!!! Has it really been that long since I've posted?? ( March of this year)..I've just been so busy that I haven't had the time...Garden ( if you can call it that) has been put in and as I was lazy and didn't water like I should have we haven't been getting much from it...Got free tomato plants from Nazareth College...supposedly they were Roma's...LOL...haven't seen a single one that looks like a Roma. So we've gotten a few broccoli heads, 2 or 3 tomatos, a handful of peas and about as many beans. Had a bunch of lettuce but we weren't really in a lettuce phase so it all went to seed and was wasted..I'm kicking myself for that one. Gotten 4 zucchini off my 2 plants..I planted them in shallow soil and although the plants are beautiful they aren't doing much. I've gotten a few small green peppers which is amazing considering the deer ate the tops off some of the plants..and off some of the tomato plants...the little jerks. And the garden is right outside my bedroom window..they must be quiet little jerks..Great watch dogs I have...they sleep in the bedroom also and apparently didn't hear anything. We have a farmers market in the little plaza at the end of our street now...Hubbs and I walked down there Saturday and picked up some veggies..saw a sign that said at least one of the vendors is going to be there today from 4-7 so I'm going to take a walk down and do my part to convince them its worth their while to do a mid week run. Other then that its just been running Mom to Cardiac Rehab twice a week and doctor's appointments. OH on a health note I made a visit to my cardiologist the week before last. Had an echo cardiogram done on Friday the 27th and then a stress echo done on the 30th...he said my heart is better then his..so I'm on a quest to better my health so I can get off the diabetes medicine and the high blood pressure medicine. Have already lowered my weight by a couple pounds and honestly my blood glucose levels also..tried substituting barley for rice...worked out pretty well and watching my carbs..also I've started walking on the treadmill for a half an hour a day...I know I could walk outside but I've been reading while I'm walking and I don't want to be walking out into traffic..LOL So that's about it for now...just wanted you all to know I'm still alive and kicking.
