Can I even remember?

ok..I haven't blogged since last Wednesday...Thursday went with my hair dresser/friend to her doctor appointment. Wish the Doctor could figure out what's wrong with her..Then we came back to her house..ate lunch and she did my hair. Jen got her hair cut. I was pooped Thursday night so I went to bed early.. like 8:00 and never heard Ken come home from band practice. Friday Ken had off so we went grocery shopping and then I went to pick up the grand kids. Saturday we went over to the high school and launched rockets. The boys loved that. Came home..ate supper, gave baths and then watched a movie. Sunday was church and the boys rode their bikes for a while. Monday I packed the kids clothes up and we walked down to the village and watched the Memorial Day parade and then in the afternoon we went to Genessee Country Museum coz the Webster Village Band was playing. Then I took the kids home. When I got home we ate supper and then went to Empire lanes and bowled. They had a coupon for .99 games with a coupon so we bowled 3 games.It was a very tiring but fun week end. I love those kids so much. Today so far I've done the laundry and hung it out...waiting for the grass to dry up a little more so I can mow lawn as it's supposed to rain tomorrow and Thursday.

Wednesday (Birthday..day two)

Ok......its been a busy time. Yesterday Nicole came over unexpectedly. I was happy. She had my birthday card. We ate supper and then Nicole, Jade and I went for a walk. When we got back Ken and Jen had been to Wegmans and gotten me a cookie cake and ice cream. We sat around eating it and Ken told Jen to go get my present. There wasn't supposed to be any present coz I hadn't gotten him one. I got a 2 pack of under the bed storage bins... Ken said," Is that the instructions in there?" I kept saying no...why would you need instructions? You put the top on and shove it under the bed...surely nobody is stupid enough to need instructions for an under the bed storage bin..He kept saying he thought they were so I reached in and got them..OH BOY!!!!!!!!!! They almost needed to give me CPR. The picture is what it was...




I was blown away....lets just say I have enough for 5 swedish massages.. I love my family....I love them anyways but I....I..... I.... really love my family.

Today I got up at 5:30 AM..necessity because of Ken's new hours and made his coffee, lunch and breakfast. Did my devotions, Got chicken out and thawed and marinating for supper, made 2 different macaroni salads, boiled some eggs, went outside and worked up the parts of my grow beds that hadn't been worked up yet and planted 6 roma tomato plants, my zucchini plant and 8 green pepper plants. By then it was 10:30 and I'd had enough of the sun and the heat so I came inside. Was supposed to get my hair done today but my hair dresser isn't feeling well so we're going to make it for another day. I'm just gonna chill the rest of the day.

Week so far

The Mother Daughter Banquet Saturday night was very good. Supper included..mixed vegetables, little potatoes, roast beef, chicken, rice, tossed salad, biscuits and jello..The message was very good and then we had cake. Lets just say I left there stuffed. Sunday was church and the choir leader is finally back from his 2 week vacation to the Outer Banks so we had choir practice. Monday was my birthday so I took it easy...I only did the laundry and hung it out AND mowed the lawn. Then Ken and Jen took me to the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday supper. OK I've done it and it doesn't matter to me if I ever go there again...Its very high priced. Ken kept saying yeah but they're famous for their cheesecake...I don't like cheesecake but it was nice of him to take me. Came home and started to watch TV when I looked at him and said," I think you should go to Mona Lisa and get me some Festa cake." Which he did...he's such a sweety. Oh and I got flowers....they were delivered and the card wasn't signed. So I called the floral shop that delivered them and they said no...there was no name and they'd gotten the order from the internet. At 3:30 this morning when I couldn't sleep I got up and signed on line...an e-mail from Heather...ummmm I think we forgot to sign the card but we hope you liked the flowers..Mystery solved...A order of flowers ordered from Iraq. She also said the temperature there has been between 114-117. Yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want warm but not that warm. Today I went over and baby sat for a couple of hours for my hair dresser. I got an 8 pack of cinnamon buns, 2 packages of ravioli, 2 boxes of cereal, 2 pints of black berries..plus I ate a fruit mix while I was there...and 3 - 8 oz. packages of muushrooms...and I get my hair and Jen's hair done tomorrow. Now I'm sitting here wondering what to do coz I did all my work yesterday...........

Fast forward......

Ok........Thursday Jen and I were invited to a revival meeting in Lyons, NY. Sounded like fun so we went...the preacher was good..Gave me lots to think about. His text was Titus 2:11-15. We didn't get home till very late. And that's when I remembered that Ken had Friday off!!!!!!!!!!! So Friday we washed all the windows and screens on the house. And planted our 4 raspberry plants that we bought probably a month ago..I'm just hoping they're still alive. That took us till a little past lunch and then we just took it easy the rest of the day. Friday night was RU. Remember my story about the elderly lady I was going to pick up for RU and when I got there she'd fallen and broke her wrist? Well last night she got to RU and started having chest pains so they called the ambulance for her. Last I heard was that it wasn't a heart attack...they'd given her something for the pain and they were going to keep her overnight for observation. I'm telling you...that woman is gonna be the death of me yet. LOL. This morning Ken and I went grocery shopping and now I'm just sitting around waiting for it to be time to go to the Mother Daughter Banquet at church. Other then that....not much going on.

Trying to remember

what I did Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday....Hmmm Monday was laundry..washed and hung outside....RG&E 30 minutes...me saved 2 hours 30 minutes. Hmmm...went and paid the cable bill, stopped at Rite Aid..99 cent Bowl Appetites and then went to Walgreens...last Friday when I went there they had discontinued food products super cheap..should have bought them then coz they were all gone...every one of them. Ran Jen's boots over to school for her. After Jen got home we went grocery shopping.
Tuesday.... Had to babysit for my hairdresser...rode my bike. I was almost all the way home when I realized I'd forgotten my bike helmet...< GASP!!!!!!!!!!!> I never...and I mean NEVER ride without my helmet so I don't know where my head was when I left...though I do know where it wasn't...inside my helmet. Got home and mowed the lawn..It was a very busy day for me. But a good day. Wednesday..I didn't have anything to do coz I got it all done Monday and Tuesday so I spent the day reading and catching up on e-mail. Nicole came over around 3:15 and we walked down to Bed Bath and Beyond and then over to Wegmans with a quick stop at Kohls, then back home to have supper and then off to church for our party for the end of the Discipleship course we've been taking. That was fun. Then Nicole and I decided to run to Empire Lanes for a quick game of bowling...Had we waited until 9:00 it would have only been $ 1.29 a game but Nicole had to get some sleep before her overnight so we paid full price..$ 4.05 for shoe rental...$ 4.50 a game...when the heck did bowling get so expensive??? Luckily I had my own shoes so I was a cheap date..I only cost her $ 4.50. Today is Ken's last day of working 8 hour days...He has tomorrow off and then he'll be working 10 hour days Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday and have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off..Except the Monday after next is Memorial Day so he'll have a 4 day week end..Well of to order Mom's pills

Mother's Day Lunch was steak wrapped in bacon and skewered, veggies on skewers and grilled, and mashed potatoes...mmmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm full now.

Mother's Day

First off....HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! I tried to call my Mommy but she's sleeping...Lucky ducky. Ok..so Thursday I went to the dentist for a filling...thats about all I managed. Did do some walking around Walmart, stopped and put some gas in the van and then came home and waited for my mouth to thaw out. Friday I went out and put my solar lights in my gardens...walked to Petsmart to get a new bubbler stone for the fish tank..walked over to Target to get some pics made for Judy but their instant machine was down so I just walked around looking at stuff...walked to Walgreens and made the pics for Judy and then walked home and had lunch. Got tired of just sitting around so I went out and mowed the lawn. Looks like it needs it again already. Hubby and I went to the Blue Cactus in Fairport. Its a Mexican restaurant...it was pretty good though expensive. Still waiting for Monte Alban to open in Webster. Went to church and helped Nicole with Kidz Club. She's so good with them..she was really meant to be a teacher. After RU Ken, Jen and I went to Perkins. I was still kinda full from supper...ummmm and the 3 muskateers bar and M&M's I had at church so I shared an appetizer sampler with Ken. Saturday Ken had to work because of commencement at Nazareth. I took off and went with Nicole to pick up Judy and bring her into the city to spend the day with Tina. I'm so glad they're making an effort to patch things up. Tina,Judy,Nicole,I and Tina's kids Olivia, Brooke and Ryan went to the Lilac Festival..we no sooner got there then it started raining. At 2:00 we decided to take off. Nicole and I had to leave anyway coz she had to be to work at 4:00. Walking back to the cars it started raining huge drops of water. We thought at first it was hailing but then realized it was rain. We got drenched. I mean rain running down our faces, clothes actually dripping water drenched. Luckily Nicole and I can fit into the same clothes pretty much so she lent me a skirt and a sweatshirt when we got back to her house. Then we decided to go out to lunch as we haven't done that since she changed jobs so we went to Webster and ate at Salad's Etc. She had a panini I had a wrap. Then she took off for work and I went home. Ken was home when I got here. Shortly after I got home his cell phone rang. I could hear him in the other room..." NO!!!!!!!!!!!! You're kidding!!!!!!!!!!! That's awful!!!!!!
Seems the high winds we had Saturday blew the tent down..The news said 3 workers and 1 visitor hurt. Apparently the ground there is mostly sand and it pulled the tent stakes right out of the ground. Luckily commencement was over. Supper was Subway subs and Starvin Marvin chicken wings..I've been hungry for chicken wings for so long. This morning Hubby went to Wegmans and got donuts and bagels for breakfast and now he's in the process of making me lunch..Skewered something cooked on the grill. Don't care what it is..just care that I don't have to cook it. So I heard there was the threat of a frost tonight so I had to go out and cover my broccoli and lettuce. Now if only lunch would get ready...I'm starved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
